Age Limit

• Age cutoff: 1 September 2026
• Direct recruitment: Must not have completed 35 years
• Recruitment by transfer: Must not have completed 48 years
• SC, ST, BC and EWS relaxation: Five years for direct recruitment
• PwBD relaxation: Ten years for direct recruitment

Vacancies: 119 posts: 96 through direct recruitment and 23 through recruitment by transfer

Eligibility & Qualification

• Direct recruitment: Law degree obtained within the one year preceding the notification date, under the condition stated in the notification
• Recruitment by transfer: Law degree plus confirmed membership or approved probation in an eligible Andhra Pradesh service category listed in the notice
• BC non-creamy-layer certificate: Latest certificate issued in 2025 or 2026 is required when claiming the reservation
• EWS certificate: Certificate issued in 2025 or 2026; the notice states family income below Rs 8 lakh

Salary & Job Location

• Salary / stipend: Pay scale Rs 77,840-1,36,520. During the one-year Judicial Academy training, the fixed emolument is half the remuneration payable to a Civil Judge (Junior Division); the same training emolument continues during the following one-year Law Clerkship.

Selection Process

1. Computer-based screening test: 100 objective questions for 100 marks in two hours; candidates securing at least 40% are considered for shortlisting in a 1:10 ratio.
2. Written examination: Civil Laws, Criminal Laws and English papers, each carrying 100 marks and lasting three hours.
3. The English paper tests translation and legal essay writing and is qualifying under the marks rules stated in the notification.
4. Viva voce carries 50 marks; written-exam qualifiers are called in a 1:3 ratio, subject to the notified tie rule.
5. Original-certificate and antecedent verification apply before final appointment.
