Age Limit
As on 1 January 2026: 21 to 40 years for the posts other than ASHA Block Programme Coordinator, for which the notice states an upper limit of 40. Relaxation applies as per government norms.

Eligibility & Qualification
- Medical Officer GDMO: MBBS. The notice describes how foreign medical graduate exam marks are counted.
- Staff Nurse: Recognised GNM training and West Bengal Nursing Council registration or provisional certificate.
- Community Health Assistant: Women only: recognised ANM or GNM, West Bengal Nursing Council registration, Bengali proficiency and permanent Birbhum residency.
- Multi Rehabilitation Worker: Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy with at least two years of hospital experience.
- Senior Treatment Laboratory Supervisor: Graduate with DMLT or BMLT from a government-recognised institution, permanent two-wheeler licence and computer proficiency.
- TB Health Visitor: Science degree, at least one year as MPW/LHV/ANM/health worker and a computer operations certificate of at least two months.
- ASHA Block Programme Coordinator: Specified master’s degree or graduation in any discipline, a one-year computer application diploma and permanent Birbhum residency. Health-project experience is desirable.
Salary & Job Location
- Salary / stipend: ₹13,000 to ₹60,000 per month, depending on the role; ASHA coordinator mobility support is separate.
- Job location: Birbhum Health District, West Bengal; health centre or unit depends on the post.
Selection Process
- Selection varies by role. Staff Nurse is scored on academics and clinical experience; Community Health Assistant on ANM or GNM marks; and GDMO on MBBS marks and interview. Other posts may include computer or written tests or an interview.
