Age Limit

• Age cutoff: 4 October 2026
• General age band: 18-28 years
• SC / ST: Upper-age relaxation of 5 years for posts reserved for the respective category
• OBC-NCL: 3-year relaxation applies only against an OBC-reserved vacancy; this advertised vacancy table does not list OBC-reserved posts

Eligibility & Qualification

• School qualification: SSC/Class 10 or equivalent with Science and at least 55% marks
• Trade route 1: ITI certificate or National/State Trade Certificate in the advertised trade
• Trade route 2: Two years of full-time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognised institution in the relevant trade
• Trade route 3: Three years of relevant trade work experience in a Ministry/Department/Organisation/PSU/Autonomous Body under the Government of India, a State or a Union Territory
• Computer / IT Assistant trades: For the certificate/apprenticeship route: Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, or Computer Hardware and Network Maintenance, as specified for T104
• Catering / Hospitality experience: The three-year experience route for T109 covers the notified catering/hospitality, food and beverages, tourism or guest-house work, within the specified government/public-body conditions
• Cutoff and documents: Meet eligibility by 4 October 2026. Provide the prescribed qualification, experience, reservation and NOC documents where applicable; part-time, daily-wage and guest-faculty experience does not qualify under the notified experience rules.

Salary & Job Location

• Salary / stipend: Pay Level 2: Rs 19,900-63,200, with applicable allowances
• Job location: Initial posting at CSIR-NGRI, Hyderabad, Telangana; liable to serve in CSIR laboratories or institutes anywhere in India

Selection Process

1. Applications are screened against the advertised post-code requirements.
2. Shortlisted candidates must qualify the trade/practical test.
3. Written Paper I: Mental Ability, 50 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour; qualifying, with no negative marking.
4. Paper II: General Awareness and English, 50 questions, 150 marks, 30 minutes. Paper III: concerned trade, 50 questions, 150 marks, 1 hour. Both award 3 marks per correct answer and deduct 1 per wrong answer.
5. Final merit is based on Papers II and III after qualifying Paper I. Follow the institute's later official schedule and document instructions.
