Eligibility & Qualification
- B.Sc. Nursing route: B.Sc. Nursing from a university established under Indian law or another recognised/deemed university, recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council
- GNM route: Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an institution recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council
- Computer knowledge: Basic computer knowledge under the Gujarat recruitment rules
- Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
- Nursing registration: Registration with the Gujarat Nursing Council is required by appointment if not already held
Salary & Job Location
- Salary / stipend: Fixed pay of ₹40,800 per month for the first five years. Subject to the stated conditions and satisfactory service, the regular pay scale is ₹29,200-92,300 at Level 5.
- Job location: Employees' State Insurance Scheme offices under the Gujarat Health and Family Welfare Department
Selection Process
- Paper I nursing-subject examination: 100 marks and two hours
- Paper II Gujarati-language examination: 100 marks and two hours
- Provisional answer key, objection review and final answer key
- Merit and eligibility/document verification under the notified rules
