JAM 2027 applications are open until 19 October 2026. IIT Kharagpur will conduct the examination on 14 February 2027 for admission to eligible postgraduate programmes.

- Exam: 14 February 2027
- Scheduled result: 18 March 2027
Application Fee
- Female / SC / ST / PwD — one paper: ₹1,000
- Female / SC / ST / PwD — two papers: ₹1,350
- All other candidates — one paper: ₹2,000
- All other candidates — two papers: ₹2,700
Age Limit
No age restriction for appearing in JAM 2027.
Who Can Apply / Eligibility
- To appear: Completed undergraduate degree, or final qualifying examination in 2027
- For admission: Complete the undergraduate programme before admission and provide proof within the institute's deadline
- Programme requirements: Check the subject-specific minimum qualifications of each programme in the brochure

- Choose the eligible JAM test paper(s) and take the examination.
- After qualification, follow the relevant institute's admission process.
- Admission depends on rank, programme requirements and seats; an exam score alone does not guarantee admission.

- Check the brochure and eligibility of your chosen test paper and postgraduate programme.
- Open JOAPS and register or log in.
- Fill your details, choose the test paper(s), and upload the required photograph, signature, Class 10 proof and applicable certificates.
- Review the form, pay online and save the submission and payment confirmation.
