- Ex-servicemen: Ex-servicemen and disabled ex-servicemen are not eligible for this apprentice engagement.
- Local language: Reading, writing, speaking and understanding of one notified language of the chosen State/UT. An 8th, 10th or 12th certificate showing study of that language gives the stated language-test exemption.
- State/district choice: Only one State/UT application. Three district preferences may be given, but allotment is at the bank's discretion; read the resident-district preference condition.

- Take the online test: 100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes, covering reasoning, computer knowledge, English, quantitative aptitude and banking-related general awareness.
- Meet the bank's aggregate qualifying marks and State/UT-category merit requirements. The notice gives 5% aggregate relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and no separate subject qualifying marks.
- Qualify the local-language test unless the prescribed school-study certificate gives exemption. An interview may be held at the bank's discretion.
- Complete document and medical checks. Suitable candidates receive the training offer digitally through NATS 2.0.
