MPPSC Law Officer 2026: Four Posts, Applications from 15 October
MPPSC has notified four permanent, Class II gazetted Law Officer posts in the Jail Department. The normal application window is 15 October–5 November 2026; later applications carry substantial additional fees.

Application Fee
- Eligible MP domiciles: SC / ST / OBC non-creamy layer / EWS / PwD: ₹250.
- Other categories and applicants from outside MP: ₹500.
- 6–12 November 2026: Additional late fee ₹3,000.
- 13–18 November 2026: Additional late fee ₹25,000.
- Correction: ₹50 per correction session; a category change may require the difference in application fee.
Age Limit
- Age cutoff: 1 January 2027
- General rule: 21 years completed; below 40 years.
- Relaxations: Appendix 1 gives category/service-based concessions for eligible MP candidates, subject to certificates. All relaxations combined cannot take age above 45 years.
- Outside Madhya Pradesh: Applicants from other states are treated as unreserved for state reservation and age-concession purposes.

Eligibility & Qualification
- Education and experience: Law degree plus at least two years of advocate practice; provide the Appendix 5 certificate and affidavit.
- Eligibility cutoff: 5 November 2026, including applicants using the late-fee windows.
- Employment registration: Applicable MP candidates need valid live employment registration by the interview-document deadline. The notice provides employee exemptions; other-state candidates are exempt.
- Post conditions: Permanent Class II gazetted post; two-year probation as stated in the notice.

- Salary / stipend: Pay Level 12: ₹56,100–1,77,500
- Job location: Madhya Pradesh; scheduled examination centre: Indore
Selection Process
- MPPSC determines the route from the number of candidates.
- For 500 or more candidates: OMR written examination with negative marking, then interview.
- For fewer than 500 candidates: qualifying-degree-based shortlisting and interview only.
- Submit the documents called for by MPPSC and complete eligibility verification.

- From 15 October, use the Law Officer application link released on MPPSC's official website.
- Enter the details carefully and upload the required photograph and signature. Candidate-name correction is not allowed.
- Complete online payment and confirm that the form shows Payment Done; keep the application and receipt.
- Prefer the regular 5 November deadline. If applying later, check the ₹3,000 or ₹25,000 additional fee before paying.
