NMMSS Scholarship 2026-27: Apply by 30 September

Who Can Apply / Eligibility

• School: State government, government-aided or local-body school.
• Family income: Parents' annual income must not exceed Rs 3.50 lakh.
• Fresh award: Class 9 students selected through the State/UT scholarship examination.
• Selection-test entry marks: At least 55% in Class 7; a 5-percentage-point relaxation applies to SC/ST students.
• Renewal: Classes 10 to 12, subject to the scheme's academic-performance conditions.

Benefits / What You Get

• Scholarship: Rs 12,000 per year for a selected student, subject to scheme and renewal conditions.
• Payment: Transferred to the selected student's bank account through DBT. Submission alone does not guarantee payment.

• Document checklist: The deadline notice does not provide a complete document list. Check the official NSP instructions for your fresh or renewal application.
• Before starting: Complete NSP One Time Registration (OTR). Confirm that your school and bank information match the application requirements.

Verification & Approval

1. Fresh candidates must already be selected through the State/UT examination.
2. The school/institute and district nodal officers verify the NSP application.
3. Eligible verified awards are processed under the scholarship rules.

How to apply / next steps

1. Read the NMMSS notice and check whether you are a selected fresh applicant or an eligible renewal applicant.
2. Use the official OTR link if you have not completed One Time Registration.
3. Open the NSP scholarship application link and choose the applicable NMMSS application.
4. Check all details and submit by 30 September 2026. Keep your acknowledgement.
5. Ask your school to complete institute verification; submission and verification are separate stages.
