Eligibility & Qualification

• Assistant Engineer qualification: Full-time regular diploma with pass marks in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering, from a State Technical Board or AICTE/UGC-recognised institution.
• Assistant Engineer experience: At least 10 years' post-qualification power-sector site experience, including training if any. At least 6 years must be in O&M/asset management of grid-connected solar and/or wind projects of 50 MW or more.
• DGM qualification: Full-time engineering graduate in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics, Control & Instrumentation, Civil or Mechanical, with at least 60%. SC/ST/PwBD candidates with pass marks are eligible.
• DGM experience: At least 12 years' post-qualification power-sector executive experience including training, with at least 10 years with a solar/wind renewable-energy developer. At least 2 years' site experience in construction, erection or commissioning of grid-connected solar/wind projects of 50 MW or more.
• Government / PSU DGM applicants: Within the stated 12 years, at least 2 years in Rs 80,000-2,20,000 or higher, IDA E5 or equivalent, as specified in the notice.
• Certificates and serving employees: Use the prescribed category, disability, qualification and chronological experience documents. OBC-NCL/EWS certificates must meet the notified 2026-27 requirements. Government/PSU candidates must follow the NOC or relieving requirements.

Salary & Job Location

• Salary / stipend: Assistant Engineer: scale Rs 30,000-1,20,000, with initial basic Rs 40,000. DGM: scale Rs 90,000-2,40,000, initial basic Rs 90,000. Allowances and benefits as per company rules.
• In-hand salary: Not stated in the official advertisement
• Job location: NGEL corporate centre, stations, sites, projects, clusters, JVs and subsidiaries across India; transferable at management discretion

Selection Process

3. Before joining, undergo the prescribed medical examination at an eligible government hospital; the stated health standards are not relaxed.
