Eligibility & Qualification
- Trade qualifications: Library Assistant requires Class 10; Fire Safety Technician accepts Class 12 or a two-year ITI after Class 10. The listed skilled trades require the relevant ITI.
- Degree and diploma routes: The notice lists degree and three-year engineering diploma routes by trade. Some degree and diploma trades use NAPS rather than NATS.
- Prior apprenticeship: Candidates who have previously undertaken or are pursuing apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act are ineligible.
- Technician Apprentice: At least one year of training or work experience after acquiring the prescribed qualification makes a candidate ineligible for this category.
- Qualification date: Candidates must not have completed three years since passing the qualifying exam as on 29 November 2026.
Salary & Job Location
- Salary / stipend: Monthly stipend: ₹12,300 for graduates; ₹10,900 for three-year diploma holders; ₹8,200 for Class 10/12 trade apprentices; ₹9,600 for one-year ITI and ₹10,560 for two-year ITI.
- In-hand salary: Apprentices receive a training stipend, not a regular salary.
- Job location: 24 ONGC work centres, including Goa. The eligible districts depend on the work centre; check Annexure 1.
Selection Process
- ONGC prepares trade- and work-centre-wise merit from the qualifying marks.
- Shortlisted candidates produce the original documents and self-attested copies.
- Check the official selection list and complete the medical and joining requirements if selected.
