PM-KISAN: 24th Instalment Released, Official Status and Eligibility

Who Can Apply / Eligibility

• Landholding: Cultivable land in the eligible farmer family's name; tenants without landholding in their own name are not eligible under the FAQ
• Family: Husband, wife and minor children; duplicate benefits for the same family are not allowed
• Institutional and public-office exclusions: Institutional landholders and families with current/former constitutional postholders, Ministers, MPs, MLAs/MLCs, Mayors or District Panchayat Chairpersons are excluded
• Government employment: Specified serving/retired Central or State government, public-sector, attached/autonomous-body and regular local-body employees are excluded; MTS/Class IV/Group D exceptions apply if otherwise eligible
• Pension exclusion: Specified retired/superannuated pensioners receiving ₹10,000 or more per month are excluded, with the stated MTS/Class IV/Group D exception
• Tax and professional exclusions: Families with a member who paid income tax in the last assessment year, or registered practising doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants or architects, are excluded
• Current verification warning: The portal says suspected post-1 February 2019 land acquisitions and duplicate-family cases may have benefits withheld pending physical verification. Check individual status and the applicable guidelines; do not assume every later land transfer is automatically ineligible.

Benefits / What You Get

• Annual income support: ₹6,000 per eligible farmer family in three equal instalments of ₹2,000
• Payment method: Direct transfer to the verified beneficiary bank account; Aadhaar-linked records, bank validation and mandatory eKYC apply
• Latest release: The government released the 24th instalment on 30 October 2026 at Banaskantha, Gujarat. Check your own record to know whether your payment was credited.

Documents You Need

• Identity and basic details: Aadhaar and the personal details required by the official registration form; authentication and consent are on the government portal
• Land records: Cultivable-land ownership details for State/UT verification
• Bank details: Bank account number and IFSC; use the official Aadhaar/bank validation guidance
• Mobile and local requirements: The current registration screen asks for a mobile number; Know Your Status uses the registration number and an OTP sent to the registered mobile. State/UT authorities may require further verification; no universal extra-document list is asserted here

Verification & Approval

1. Submit or maintain accurate details only through the official PM-KISAN route.
2. State/UT authorities verify landholding, family eligibility and exclusions.
3. Complete required eKYC and bank/Aadhaar validation; check the individual payment status.

How to apply / next steps

1. Open the official Know Your Status link to check an existing registration and instalment status.
2. Use your registration number and the OTP on your registered mobile only on the official government portal.
3. For a new registration, read the exclusions, then use the official New Farmer Registration form and its Aadhaar authentication and consent instructions.
4. Keep land and bank details accurate and follow official eKYC guidance. If a case is withheld for verification, contact the designated State/UT or district authorities.
