Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years on the date of registration.

Who Can Apply / Eligibility

• Trade: Work with hands and tools in one of the 18 listed family-based traditional trades, in the unorganised sector.
• Family limit: One member per family. The scheme defines family as husband, wife and unmarried children.
• Government service: Government employees and their family members are not eligible.
• Previous scheme loans: The published rules restrict similar government credit-based business loans taken in the previous five years. Read the current guidelines for any applicable exceptions.

Benefits / What You Get

• Training: Skill verification, basic training and optional advanced training. The stated training stipend is Rs 500 per day.
• Toolkit: Toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000 under scheme conditions.
• Business loan — repayable: First tranche up to Rs 1 lakh; second tranche up to Rs 2 lakh, subject to eligibility. This is credit, not a cash gift.
• Interest and later tranche: The stated beneficiary rate is 5%. The second tranche requires a standard loan account and the additional conditions in the official FAQ.
• Other support: Recognition, eligible digital-transaction incentives and marketing assistance.

Documents You Need

• Identity / contact: Aadhaar and mobile number.
• Bank information: Bank-account details; CSC assistance is described for applicants without an account.
• Family information: Ration card, or Aadhaar details of all family members if no ration card is available.
• Additional documents: The Ministry may ask for further information. Use the official FAQ and registration guide for your case.

Verification & Approval

1. Check that your trade and family meet the official conditions.
2. Follow the official registration and verification process.
3. Complete the required training and any separate loan or benefit conditions.
