Age Limit

• Age as on: 1 August 2026
• Post-specific age bands: 18–27, 18–30, 20–30 or 18–32 years before any applicable concession.
• Choose your post: Check the exact age band and category concession in the official examination notice.

Vacancy Details

Vacancies: 10,731 tentative Group B and Group C posts as on 24 September 2026; SSC says final vacancies may vary.

Eligibility & Qualification

• This city-slip update: For candidates who already applied for SSC CGL 2026.
• Most posts: A recognised bachelor's degree.
• Posts with extra conditions: Junior Statistical Officer, Statistical Investigator and specified State Cadre posts have additional subject or regional-language requirements. Check your selected post in the notice.
• Qualification cutoff: 1 August 2026.

Salary & Job Location

• Salary / stipend: Post-specific Pay Levels 4 to 8; the notified basic pay scales range from Rs 25,500-81,100 at Level 4 to Rs 47,600-1,51,100 at Level 8.

Selection Process

1. Appear for the Tier-I computer-based examination.
2. Candidates shortlisted by SSC take the relevant Tier-II papers.
3. Follow SSC and the user department for post allotment, document verification and any post-specific physical or medical requirements.

How to download your admit card or city slip

1. Open SSC's official website and use its designated candidate login to check your Tier-I exam city.
2. Check the same login for your admission certificate two or three days before your own exam date; SSC says this timing is tentative.
3. When available, download the certificate and confirm its date, time and venue before travelling.
4. Central Region candidates allotted Noida, Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Muzaffarpur or Patna should recheck their city status because SSC reported some reassignments.
