How it helps
Make a passport photo with name and date without Photoshop
This name and date photo maker follows the useful parts of UPSC's published examination FAQ: a clear JPG, white background, full face, and the candidate name and photo date at the bottom. UPSC's FAQ gives a 20KB-300KB range but does not impose one universal pixel dimension, so the width and height remain editable. Do not add a label merely because an unofficial page says every NTA exam requires one.

Questions
Common questions about this tool
Can I add my name and date inside a passport photo for free?
Yes. The band is drawn inside the bottom of the final passport-size canvas in your browser, and the JPG has no site watermark.
Which date should I add?
Use only the date requested by the current notice, which may be the date the photograph was taken. Do not guess.
Can I also set the final KB?
Yes. Enter a maximum KB value and the tool reduces the labelled JPG while keeping it readable.
